School Transportation?

I have had the opportunity to sit in long lines behind the Middle School to pick my child up, over the school year I have gotten caught by the school buses exiting the pick-up area. 95% of the time 95% of the buses are a 1/4 full, with the others maybe making it to the 1/2 full level. Yet we have a transportation probelm that prevents keeping seniors from staying. Yes, we do have a transportation problem......poor planning. WHY send a bus out only 1/4 full??? Why not expand routes fill the buses and pay the drivers more for the extended time on clock for the thankless job these important people perform. Or is there some educational rule about the #of students on a bus or the time of travel from school to home??? Someone help me here with who the transportation guru is in this system? I not even mentioning the 50 -100 cars that pick up their children from middel school and the 100's of cars driven by Senior and/or Juniors. I think we have a problem and that is the committee who looked at the problem spent one day watching (I'm sure the school admin had warned that it better be smooth and that was all. Try sitting there for 7 months and see the real deal...... Anyone have suggestions or comments on the state of our school transportation system that is broken too??
