My first Mother's Day!
Hey guys, it's Liz.
This year is my first Mother's Day! (Can you tell I am excited!?!)
I can't wait for Sunday! Finally a holiday just for me!!! (and my mom of course... and grandma, mother-in-law etc... but ... it feels like it's just for me!)
Last year I was pregnant on Mother's Day and I insisted "No, Jerami you don't have to get me anything! I haven't even technically become a mother yet!" Of course what I really meant was "NO, I AM NOT GOING TO DEMAND A GIFT BUT YOU BETTER GET ME ONE OR YOU'LL BE SORRY! "
And then of course he didn't...not even a card.
And I don't think he was very sorry. :(
Well this year he has no excuses! He better remember! And he better do something to celebrate this mommy!
I don't even really want tons of gifts or anything! Maybe a little card or something would be nice. It really is the thought that counts. I just think its sweet to be recognized for just being you! Haydin is too little to do anything but I know she would say Happy Mother's Day if she could!
I just can't wait for the day that I get to celebrate being a mom!
It truly is the best job out there. It's so much fun! To all my fellow mommies out there, congratulations for the job you do and I hope you receive something or someone does something to recognize your special day this weekend too!
