In the February 28, 2008 publication, Steve Franklin did a great job of portraying Scott Found as many of the Lacrosse family see him. Scott has coached my son, Nick, for 6 seasons and has always been a positive influence. The day after his accident Scott pulled the team together and explained to the boys and their parents what happened. He took full responsibility and used it as a learning experience. Scott made a mistake. He will be the first one to admit that. But did his mistake warrant the loss of his job? It is so unfortunate that the school system jumped at their first opportunity to fire a man who has devoted so much of his time and expertise to be a positive influence on many of the youth in this county. For some of these kids, Scott was the only positive influence in their lives. Scott has brought a new sense of community to Culpeper. If you had the opportunity to go to a Lacrosse game in the last 3 years, you know what I’m talking about. I have no doubt that Lacrosse will continue in Culpeper. That is what Scott would want and expect. Thank you Scott for all your hard work, your positive influence and your determination to help the kids in our community. KA!
