Centreville fire displaces two adults

Two adults were displaced when a two-alarm fire damaged their single-family home in Centreville on Sept. 30.

Over 60 firefighters were called to 14528 William Carr Lane to a fire that took them 45 minutes to bring under control.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire, which caused an estimated $564,840 worth of damage and was especially heavy in the attic and roof of the house, according to the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.

Though they were home when the fire broke out, the occupants were not hurt and are being assisted by family members.
