Wednesday's playoff game postponed

Mother Nature has reered her ugly head once again.

And the Cedar Run District basketball playoffs will have to wait.

Wednesday night's Cedar Run District semi-final playoff game between Culpeper and Battlefield has been postponed because of a snow advisory throughout the region.

This is third time in eight days that the Blue Devils have had to postpone a game because of inclement weather.

The National Weather Service is calling for one to two inches of snowfall this afternoon and evening, making for a hazardous evening commute. The snowfall is expected to taper off before midnight.

CCPS has cancelled all after-school activities this evening.

The boys' basketball playoff game has been rescheduled for Thursday evening at Stonewall Jackson High School. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
