Roads closed due to high water

CULPEPER – Numerous roads continue to be covered with water from swollen creeks and small streams across Central Virginia. At this hour Virginia Department of Transportation crews are patrolling the highways and responding to reports of high water and fallen trees.

 

One primary road, Route 231 in Orange County, is reported closed between Route 20 and Route 726 near Somerset due to high water. Several dozen secondary roads are reported closed and more may be closed later today as the floodwaters move downstream.
