Bull Run Hunt Hosts Point-to-P

Horse lovers and anyone else who enjoys a day of good old-fashioned fun will want to come to the Bull Run Hunt’s annual point to point races on Sunday, May 4, 2008. The event will be held at Brandywine Park, five miles south of Culpeper on Rt. 15, 8606 General Winder Road, Rapidan VA 22733. The gate will open at 11:00 a.m., with the first race starting at 12:30 p.m.
In addition to the steeplechase races, amateurs are welcome to compete in the western race, the light and heavy draft races, the mule race and the relay race. Families will enjoy fun festivities, including the Jack Russell terrier races, a mechanical bull, carriage rides, pony rides, and a kids’ park with face-painting and a balloon bounce.
A country and western band will provide entertainment, eats will be available from Hog Wild Barbecue, and vendors will sell everything from fine wine to horse treats.
