Jonathon Ryan Nicholson, 16, of Culpeper died peacefully in his grandmother's loving arms, surrounded by his Mom, family and friends on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk. He was born on Feb. 20, 1992 in Charlottesville, Va. to Lisa Corbin Nicholson of Culpeper and Michael Ray Nicholson of Madison.
Jonathon was a resident of St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children in Norfolk for the past nine years. He loved listening to audio books on the computer and music.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother, Joshua Michael Nicholson of Culpeper; maternal grandparents, Shirley Corbin of Culpeper and Larry Corbin of Culpeper; paternal grandparents, Pansy and Charles Nicholson of Madison; his maternal great-grandmother, Jennie Mae Wood of Charlottesville; his favorite uncle, Larry “Bo” Corbin II; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Stanley R. Dodson and Virginia B. Corbin.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Nicholson, Larry Nicholson, Frank Nicholson, Eugene Corbin, James Lillard and Mark Lantinga.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jonathon’s name to St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children, 6171 Kempsville Circle Norfolk, Virginia 23502.
