Valerie L. Jones

Died May 4, 2008
 Valerie L. Jones, a 40-year resident of Amissville, passed away on May 4 at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton.

After moving to Rappahannock, she was active in Girl Scouts, P.T.A., Women’s Club and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington, Va.

She was born Aug. 13, 1941 in San Diego, Ca. She moved to Wisconsin in her teen years, then to Virginia.

She leaves her husband of 45 years, D. L. Jones; her daughters and their husbands, Courtney Lee and Patrick Poland of Midland, Va., and Camilla Anne and John Corn of Chula Vista, Ca.; her mother- Myrna L. Harrison and a sister Victoria A. Edgington, both of Wisconsin Dells, Wis.; a brother, Chester J. Harrison Jr. of Gagen, Minn.; and three grandchildren, Crockett and Forrest Poland and Shenandoah Marie Corn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Rapidan, PO Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701.
