Kathryn Ann Hoffman Hailey, 88, of Culpeper, passed away, Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Culpeper Regional Hospital. Mrs. Hailey was born in Brightwood on April 22, 1920 to the late John M. and Annie Maude Back Hoffman, and was an active member of the Culpeper Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Mark H. Hailey of Culpeper; her son, Alvin J. Hailey and his wife Allie of Port Richey, Fla.; her daughter, Patricia A. Hailey of Culpeper; her eight grandchildren, Teresa H. Arnold of Alexandria, Alvin J. Hailey, Jr. of Warrenton, Marc K. Hailey of Amissville, Tracy Kowasic of Goodyear, Ariz., Kimberly Baldwin of Orange, Christy Ralls of Gordonsville, Gail Weakley of Madison, and Gary Timmons of Palmyra; her 18 great-grandchildren, Tiffany N. Kordon, Tricia R. Sneath, Tyler C. Arnold, Tara Hailey, Tess Hailey, Samantha Hailey, Sophia Hailey, Greg Baldwin, Zachary L. Baldwin, Brett A. Ralls, Anna Ralls, Jake Hailey, Luke Hailey, Laura Hailey, Ryan Kowasic, Alec Kowasic, Austin Kowasic and Kyle Weakley; her one great-great- grandchild, Cole W. Sneath; and her two sisters-in-law, Lucy Hoffman of Brightwood, and Jane Holliday of Rapidan.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; her four brothers, Carroll W. Hoffman, Clyde M. Hoffman, Herbert L. Hoffman and Shirley H. Hoffman and her one sister, Elizabeth Lohr.

Funeral services will be held, Monday, May 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clore-English Funeral Chapel, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA 22701 with interment in Bethsaida United Methodist Church Cemetery in Brightwood with Pastor Randy Albritton conducting the service. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 11, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers are Rev. Edward Marsh, Dan Mullins, Warren Hoffman, Troy Coppage, Billy Coppage and Richard Phelps.
