Bessie Irene Painter

 Bessie Irene Painter "Blackie Hilton" passed away on Friday, May 9, 2008. At her time of passing she was surrounded by a room full of family. She was 81 years old.

Blackie grew up in Elkwood and graduated from Culpeper County High School, class of 1945.

Blackie was preceded in death by her former husband Joseph Orville Lee Painter. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Shifflett and Jacalyn Kressley. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 12 great-grand children and one great-great-grandchild due this month.

Services and interment were held Wednesday May 14 2008 at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Va.
