Jennie Martin Robertson

Died June 28, 2008

Jennie Martin Robertson, wife of the late Rev. J. Dallas Robertson of Winchester, Va., passed away at Our Father's House Christian Home in Culpeper on June 28, 2008.

Jennie was born in Statesville, N.C. on Nov. 16, 1917. After graduating from Appalachian State Teacher's College, she taught school and later became a librarian at Shenandoah University. Jennie Martin married Dallas Robertson in Alexandria, VA in 1952. She was a member of Braddock Street United Methodist Church from 1969-1997. Jennie and Dallas moved to Culpeper in 1998 and were members of Culpeper United Methodist Church.

Her husband preceded her in death on May 14, 2000. Jennie's surviving immediate family is her son and daughter-in-law George and Eleanor Robertson, and her two grandchildren Michael and Angela Robertson, all of Culpeper.

A viewing and memorial service will be held in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper, on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until service time at 7:00 p.m., followed by a viewing, funeral service and burial at the Pisgah United Methodist Church, Hiddenite, N.C. on Sunday, July 6.
