Irma Ingram

Died July 11, 2008
 

Irma Adams Ingram, 93, of Rixeyville passed away in the home of her daughter, Friday, July 11, 2008. Irma was born to Rush Miller Adams and Lona Carden Adams, September 16, 1914, in Red Oak, was a member of the Culpeper Baptist Church where she was director of the Child Development Center for 32 years. She taught thousands of kindergarten children their letters, numbers, and life by the golden rule.

Surviving Mrs. Ingram are her children, David A. Ingram of Rixeyville, and Evelyn I. Sawyer and her husband Tom of Culpeper; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral service was held in the Culpeper National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 16, with Rev. John S. Farrar conducting the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Child Development Center, Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S. West Street, Culpeper, VA 22701.
